Ok, so we are playing a game that promotes murdering and lying to your best friends :) great!
Everyone is playing this one game. YouTubers, influencers, and streamers have popularized this game so much that it would be shocking if you haven't heard of it.
Among us was created by an indie game company in 2018. The multiplayer game wasn't known by many until the 2020 summer pandemic. Major YouTubers TikTok influencers and streamers were playing it. PewDiePie, James Charles, and Larray.
Among Us is a multiplayer game where between 4 and 10 players dropped onto an alien spaceship. Each player is allocated a role as "crewmate" or "impostor." Crewmates must run around the ship and complete a set of tasks while avoiding getting killed and finding the imposters. Players can be voted off the spaceship, which turns you into a ghost, and even though you are dead, you still have to complete your tasks and find the imposters before the imposter kills everyone.
So I played the game and started playing with my friends on my iPad. It was honestly really annoying at first, but then it becomes amusing when you started getting the hang of it. I prefer to be the imposter more than the crewmate. It is mainly because it is so much more fun than completing tasks, and if you play it while you are around people, it tests how calm and controlled you can be under pressure and how quick you can deceive people. Being the crewmate is sometimes fun until you get killed because you can't do anything except finishing the tasks.
You also meet many friends on here and find satisfying relationships sometimes (not when you are killing people). It is rare, but it is fun.
I wish they could add a talk for just the imposters and the ability for crewmates to do cool things like how the imposters vent.
